Iran to test stealth drone prototype in May

The first prototype of an Iranian stealth drone, called Pahpad, will make a maiden flight on May 23rd, the commander of the Iranian Air Force announced here on Saturday. After the first prototype of the radar-evading unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is tested successfully, the aircraft will be manufactured, Brigadier General Hassan Shah-Safi told reporters on the sidelines of Army Day military parade in Tehran. A UAV is an unpiloted aircraft. UAVs come in two varieties: some are controlled from a remote location, and others fly based on pre-programmed flight plans using more complex systems. Asked about the cancellation of the Army Day air show, Shah-Safi said it was cancelled due to poor visibility
